As the owner of Steve’s Real Food, Nicole has been creating natural pet products for over 10 years. She focuses on being innovative, sustainable, and approachable in order to promote raw feeding to all pet parents.

Since the signing of the Food Safety Modernization Act in 2011, she has worked closely with state and federal agencies to explore options for proper mitigation of harmful pathogens. Over the years she has experimented with many methods with the goal of not compromising nutritionally while maintaining palatability, digestibility, and affordability. Nicole has experienced first hand how to manage and complete a pet food recall and has extensive knowledge about the regulatory and legal issues concerning food safety.
