Josie Beug
DVM
Dr Josie Beug is a licensed veterinarian who specializes in Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine among other healing modalities. She received her BA in Biology from the University of Colorado in 1989 with an emphasis in neurology, animal behavior, and cognitive ethology, the study of animal consciousness.
When she discovered the field of holistic veterinary medicine she knew this is what she wanted to devote her professional life to and she applied to veterinary school with the intention of practicing integrative veterinary medicine. She earned her DVM from the University of Wisconsin in 1998. She was president of the student chapter of the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association for three years and completed many externships with members of the Council of Elders of AHVMA.
She currently has a thriving holistic house call practice in South Florida going on 20 years, and is a teaching assistant at The Chi Institute of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine. She is a life-long student of the healing arts, from herbs to oils to energy to stones, integrating ancient knowledge with modern medicine to help her patients live longer, healthier, happier lives. Her newest project is a line of vibrational elixirs for people and their pets (Mollie And Me) based upon the Five Elements of Chinese Medicine.
